Introduction:

Material Indent is the window used to give a request from a person to get the materials they required from stores.

Business case:

In a industry once the manufacturing order is released by the planning person.The production supervisor will raise a material indent to the store person.Based on the raised Indent Material Issue will be done.

Critical Fields:

1) Indent Type - This field represents the type of Indent that you are going to raise, Many types of Indents are available as follows,

    a) Manufacturing order Issue- This type is used to create an indent based on a Manufacturing order.

    b) General Indent- This type is used to raise Indent for the products which are not mentioned in the Bill of material but used for production.(Example-Consumables)

    c) Service- This type is used for service components.

    d) Tools- This type is used when the user needs tools from stores.

    e) Manufacturing order issue (Direct) - Production material will be issued against manufacturing order.

    f) Manufacturing order issue (Shopfloor) - Production material will be issued to shopfloor against manufacturing order.

    g) Warehouse Transfer- This type is used to transfer stock from one warehouse to another warehouse.

2) Date Required & Account Date - Exact required date & data entry date to be mentioned.

3) Warehouse - Material required warehouse name to be mentioned.

4) Create lines from - It is used to generate material indent with reference to manufacturing order if indent type is selected as manufacturing order direct & shopfloor.

5) Set requesting warehouse - Requesting material from stock available warehouse.

6) Return - If this check box is selected issued material will be returned against material indent document.


Critical & one-time setup fields:

 1)Organization Field - This Field is used to select the organization to which you are going to process the order.

 2)Target Document Type - This Field is used to select the type of document that you are going to process.


Non-Critical Fields:

1) User/Contact - The Person who is requesting the indent.

2) Project- If this order is processed against a project user can tag the project for tracking.

3) Campaign - If this order comes with the mobile marketing campaign


Serial number/Lot number (ASI):

The user cant provide an Attribute set instance in this window. If the attribute is provided in previous documents it can be selected here.

Critical fields:


1) Product - Required product details will be mentioned. After saving product details on-hand quantity will be displayed in tool tip.

2) UOM - Unit of measurement

3) Quantity - Product quantity will be mentioned

4) Source Warehouse - Stock available warehouse for specific product

5) Locator - Warehouse locator details will be displayed

6) Manufacturing order - Manufacturing order document number will be displayed

7) Manufacturing order Bom Line - Manufacturing product details will be displayed

8) Attribute set Instance - The values of the actual Product Attribute Instances. The product level attributes are defined on Product level.

Save:

System check whether all the mandatory field are filled

Delete:

System will delete the record when the document status is in draft.

Document action prepare:

System will check the Product,Manufacturing Order,Warehouse,Stock and change the document status to In progress status.

Document action complete:

System will change the document status to complete.And make the Indent to visible in Material Issue Screen.

Document action void/reverse correct actual:

Void- system will reverse all the cost transaction data's and change the document status to Void

Document action close:

System will check whether all the activity for the document is completed and change the Document status to close.

Create lines from:

1) Using this when Manufacturing order issue is selected will display the list of manufacturing order's.User can select the required manufacturing order number and select the required products.

2) Using this when service is selected will display the list of Service Orders.User can select the required service order number and select the required products.

1) Create lines from - It is used to generate material indent with reference to manufacturing order if indent type is selected as manufacturing order direct & shopfloor.

2) Set requesting warehouse - Requesting material from stock available warehouse.

3) Copy Lines - Copy lines process will help you to copy the Manufacturing order lines from material request.
